本片根据真实故事改编，剧本一度登上好莱坞剧本黑名单，马克·迈尔斯([人力资本])执导。影片讲述一对恋人索罗门和简在筹备婚礼期间，索罗门查出罹患肝癌，两人为完成心愿，决定将婚礼提前，在善心捐助下，他们如愿完成婚礼，四个月后，索罗门离世。

影片取材自真实的故事，围绕两个移民兄弟桑尼和史蒂文在1980年代的纽约唐人街帮派青龙里的艰难生存展开，在青龙帮里，两兄弟上位很快，也引起了警察的注意。描述了一段前所未闻的真实的青龙故事。
